Meditation with prayer is a spiritual practice that blends mindfulness and focus thought with communication to higher power, (GOD) aiming to deepen one's connection and understanding of the Lord. A common approach involves using a focal point, sacred word, bible, religious text or breath to still the mind, cultivate compassion and foster a sense of inner peace and connection with God.

Combine prayer and meditation
First find a quiet space that is comfortable and free from distractions. I prefer my office early in the morning when not one is awake around 6am. I sit on my comfortable chair with dim lighting. Find a space in your home that is comfortable for you !
Focus Attention on your breathing - take 3 slow deep breaths to relax you mind and body:
Use a FOCAL point: Scripture of Prayer: As you reflect on the prayer or scripture allow you mind to become calm and open . Just ask God to be presence with you in this moment, clear your mind. Reflect on the prayer or passage you have chosen. Do this for any where from 3-5mins. Recite the prayer aloud, or in you mind .
Repeat a sacred word or phrase from your faith tradition so you can center your thoughts. I like to repeat "Trust God and be still"
As I repeat this I feel his presence in my heart space and open to what God is saying in this moment.
After the time has past I reflect on gratitude and give thanks to God by recalling the fruit of his spirit. Joy, peace, love, kindness, patience, gentleness, goodness, self control.
Listen and commune: Seek to quiet the inner noise and listen to his presence. This practice aims for a deep connection or inner room with GOD.
Once you are done bring you self back to this moment with 3 cleansing breaths, in and out of the nose. Feel you feet on the ground and you body supported in the chair. Look around the room and what to you see and hear. Come back to this moment.
Once done with meditation , thank God for this time and write down in a journal what was experienced during this time of meditation and prayer. This is helpful so I can come back to reflected on the experience in this time of meditation.
Let me know what you have experience in this time of prayer and mediation. Try to make time for this daily. You can find a time that is flexible to your schedule. I just prefer early morning. Anytime of the day works for prayer and meditation.

Thanks for combining Prayer and meditation!
